Motorcyclist Fatally Injured in 57 Freeway Crash

September 24, 2010-According to reports a motorcycle crash fatally injured the rider on the 57 Freeway.

An early morning accident was fatal for the 26 year old motorcycle rider according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash occurred at approximately 1:55 a.m. when the 26 year old Signal Hill resident lost control of his 2009 Yamaha R6 sticking the southbound 57 Freeway wall.

According to the California Highway Patrol the accident occurred mid way in the transition road southbound 57 Freeway and the westbound 22 Freeway transition road.
Witnesses stated the motorcycle rider was traveling at a high rate of speed prior to the crash.

According to the California Highway Patrol the 26 year old motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
